Chinese Small and Medium Banks Development Report Issued in Beijing

On November 18, Chinese Small and Medium Banks Development Report (2017) was issued in Beijing by Chinese Small and Medium Banks Development Forum and Chinese Direct-Marketing Bank Union.
As estimated by Annual Report, a "slight fever" may occur in Chinese economy in next five years, and a new turn of "golden development window period" may be coming to general retail market of small and medium-sized banks. Estimated in accordance with current growth rate, total value of large retail market in banking industry will be ¥100,000 billion by 2022, and small and medium-sized banks will see a large retail market growing by approximately ¥30,000 billion.
As suggested by Annual Report, small and medium banks should be relieved from strategic anxiety, maintain strategic stability, make breakthrough in loan assistance and direct marketing, and improve large retail service efficiency by merging Internet finance companies and making good use of its advantages in platforms/channels and big data, and accommodate direct marketing into inclusive finance, provide service for agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and contain small-and micro-sized enterprises with loan less than one million Yuan in large retail and step by step elevate retail share to 20%, so as to form a large retail circle and better serve real economy.
